Fall from grace as court upholds suspension of PDP’s Ali Odefa

Published on

In a dramatic turn of events, a Federal High Court in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, has reaffirmed the suspension of Chief Ali Odefa as the National Vice Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the Southeast zone.

This decision marks a significant fall from grace for Odefa, who was once a prominent figure in the party.

Odefa’s troubles began on October 4, 2024, when the Executive Committee of the PDP suspended him from the party due to alleged anti-party activities ¹. The suspension was made official by the Oguduokwor Ward in Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

In a recent court ruling, Justice Hillary Oshomah upheld the suspension, declaring it valid and ordering Odefa to cease parading himself as the National Vice Chairman of the party in the Southeast.

This development has left many wondering about the future of Odefa’s political career. Will he be able to regain his position, or has his fall from grace become a permanent reality? Only time will tell.
