Amidst lingering controversy that trailed the Kano Emirate Council, the 15th Emir of Kano, Aminu Bayero has begun the facelift of Nassarawa mini palace (Gidan Nassarawa).
This was coming as the social media has already been flooded by the prototype containing how the mini palace will look like upon completion of the facelift.
The embattled Emir was dethroned by Governor Abba Yusuf while away outside the state (the palace) and that which paved way for reinstatement of the 16th Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II who was immediately moved into the Kofar-Kudu palace to ascend the throne.
Upon return to state, Bayero was forced to occupy the Nassarawa mini palace in what could be described as a sit tight and where he carries out his courts.
A close source to the embattled Emir who spoke on condition of anonymity, said, that the whole development surrounding the prototype appears to be true.
According to the source, “since you saw this, it seems to be true, but the Emir is doing this on his personal capacity and not the state government. Because already he has started the renovations within the house,” the source said.
Another fan of the Bayero, Ayman Ado also took to his facebook page to post, “Emir Bayero set to renovate Nassarawa palace.

“While His Royal Highness the Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero accepts the Court Order of Maintaining Status-Quo Ante in the Emirship Tussle, and as he remains the Emir of Kano, under this Court proceeding, that Emir Aminu Ado Bayero, himself finds it necessary to remodel and face-lift the Nassarawa GRA Palace, before moving to the main Palace of Gidan Rumfa. This is the prototype of the project,” the post reads.
Recall that in the heat of the controversy, the Kano State government had issued a quick notice to the embattled Emir to vacate the house as the government is planning to carry out a massive renovation of the house.
Recall also that the government earmarked the sum of N99.9million to carry out the renovation exercise.
However, when contacted for reaction to the development, the spokesperson to Governor Abba Yusuf, Sanusi Bature could not be reached.
