Edo Guber: Unity Forum endorses Okpebholo

    Published on

The Edo Unity Forum (EUF), a coalition of prominent individuals from Edo State, has wholeheartedly endorsed Senator Monday Okpebholo, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, as the most suitable leader to steer the state towards prosperity.

In a comprehensive statement released in Auchi, the group meticulously analyzed the credentials of various candidates vying for the Edo State governorship seat and unequivocally declared Senator Okpebholo as the most focused, committed, and level-headed among them.

The EUF expressed unwavering confidence that the APC will convincingly emerge victorious in the September 21 governorship election, citing the PDP’s debilitating factional divisions, lack of meaningful engagement with ordinary citizens, and palpable loss of direction.

The group emphasized that the APC is solidly entrenched in Edo State, with an impressive array of heavyweight support and traditional institutions unequivocally backing its candidate.

The statement signed by EUF National Chairman, Deacon Solomon Izevbigie, scathingly criticized the PDP government for its egregious failure to address the breakdown of critical infrastructure in the state, including roads, healthcare facilities, and education.

The group passionately called for honest, transparent, and accountable leadership, emphasizing that Senator Okpebholo embodies these qualities.

The EUF highlighted Senator Okpebholo’s visionary leadership, infectious energy, and unwavering dedication to duty, stating that he is an exemplary leader who genuinely loves Edo State and its people.

The group emphasized his commitment to driving economic growth, rehabilitating moribund industries, alleviating the suffering of the people, and pursuing policies that create jobs, fight corruption, uphold human rights, improve manpower development, and enhance healthcare delivery.

The statement also underscored Senator Okpebholo’s impressive pedigree in politics, administration, and resource management, noting that he will devote attention to the welfare of senior citizens, comply with the Beijing Manifesto, and ensure equitable distribution of development projects across the state, thereby fostering a sense of belonging and inclusiveness among all Edo people, and rekindling a faith in their fatherland.
