    Calabar Festival 2024 kicks off with Christmas Tree lighting ceremony

    Cross River State Governor, Senator Bassey Edet Otu, has officially launched the 2024 Calabar Festival, lighting up a 40-foot Christmas tree at Millennium Park in Calabar, marking the beginning of the 32-day celebration.

    The festival, themed “Our Shared Prosperity,” promises an unforgettable experience, showcasing the state’s vibrant culture and rich tourism potential.

    Governor Otu emphasized his administration’s commitment to maintaining Cross River State as a top destination for tourists and fun-seekers worldwide.

    “We’re working tirelessly to sustain our position as the number one destination of choice for fun lovers and tourists,” he stated.

    The governor also extended an invitation to private sector investors, highlighting the state’s safety and readiness for business.

    The festival has received significant sponsorship from AFRIEXIM BANK and ARISE IIP, promoting African unity and self-realization through Nollywood and Afrobeats performances. Governor Otu’s efforts to enhance the festival experience include digital innovations, allowing global audiences to participate online.
