    Asiwaju Musulumi, Chief Badmus pledges support ahead of MUSWEN General Assembly

    Osogbo – Chief Khamis Tunde Badmus, the Asiwaju Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo & Delta, has reaffirmed his unwavering support for the Muslim Ummah of South West (MUSWEN) and its empowerment initiatives.

    This promise was made on Thursday when leaders of MUSWEN paid a courtesy visit to Chief Badmus’ office in Osogbo, seeking his support for the organization’s upcoming annual General Assembly.

    The visiting team, led by MUSWEN President, Alhaji Rasaki Oladejo, included prominent Muslim leaders such as Prof. Muslih ‘Tayo Yahya, Executive Secretary of MUSWEN, and Alhaji Murisiku Abidemi Siyanbade, Chairman of the MUSWEN General Assembly planning committee.

    According to Alhaji Oladejo, “We are grateful for Chief Badmus’ unwavering support for MUSWEN. We are confident that with his backing, our organization will achieve greater heights.”

    Alhaji Siyanbade, who gave details of the planned activities, stated that the General Assembly, scheduled to hold on November 16, 2025, at the Bola Babalakin Hall, Gbongan, Osun State, will feature prominent speakers, including the Nigerian President, H.E. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar.

    Chief Badmus, in his response, expressed his appreciation for MUSWEN and pledged to attend the General Assembly. He also announced a cash donation to support the event.

    “We are committed to supporting MUSWEN and its empowerment initiatives,” Chief Badmus said. “We will be attending the General Assembly and look forward to meeting with other dignitaries.”

    The MUSWEN General Assembly aims to raise N2 billion to empower the Muslim Ummah, build a state-of-the-art healthcare facility, and provide educational support for indigent students, among other objectives.
