THE youth wing of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, has rejected Chief Edozie Njoku as the National Chairman of the party as pronounced by Court, insisting that Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa remains the authentic chairman of the party.

The youths said those who are pushing the narrative of Njoku’s chairmanship are moles within and outside the party.

They noted that the current structure of the party represents the dreams of the founding fathers of the party which they said Sly Ezeokenwa has worked assiduously to entrench.

According to APGA National Youth Leader, Comrade Eze Onyebuchi-Chukwu, some unscrupulous elements are scheming to decimate and distablize APGA, saying they will resist such plot.

In a statement, Comrade Eze Onyebuchi-Chukwu, said: “Sly Ezeokenwa we know, Edozie Njoku we don’t know.

“APGA has never been a youth party until Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo came onboard and found trust in the capacity of the youths which saw youths emerged as the leaders of the party. For the first time in the history of Nigeria politics, a youth yet to be 40 years was trusted enough to be the chairman of a top five national political party.

“This of course, is an answered prayer to the youths of Nigeria who over the years had been marginalized and tactically sidelined in the leadership of the country.

“We, the youths of APGA are not unaware of the new twist of things where falsehood thinks itself popular enough to outshine the truth. We are in APGA because APGA came to us first. We accepted Barr Ezeokenwa Jr, because he is one of us and anything short of that is short of us.

“Since inception, Sly Ezeokenwa has constantly reiterated his resolve to turn APGA a youth oriented political party where the youths are free to express their aspirations. This, we will not throw away because of some desperate politicians.

“We will not go back to Egypt. We have trust in APGA because of the chairman who represents the new order. Chief Edozie Njoku and his cohorts obviously represent the old order where desperation and impunity play the major role. We have gone passed the days of impunity and desperation, a system the youths want to flush out.

“APGA is the only party speaking the language of the youths and poor Nigerians which is not going down well with those who want
    to hold the youths down”.
