    Al-Hikmah University Awards First-Ever Excellent Grade to Shaykh Imran AbdulMajeed Eleha

    Ilorin, Kwara State – In a remarkable achievement, Shaykh Imran AbdulMajeed Eleha has been awarded a PhD degree in Arabic Language with an excellent grade by Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin. The external examiner, Prof. MM Jimba, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Kwara State University (KWASU) and Chairman of Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Board, adjudged the thesis to be outstanding.

    According to Dr. Sanusi Lafiagi, a lecturer at Al-Hikmah University, Shaykh Imran is the first PhD candidate to receive an excellent grade from the institution. The thesis, titled “Grammatical Analysis in the First Quarter of Shaykh Muhammad ibn Ṣāliḥ al-‘Uthaymīn’s Tafsīr”, was defended by Shaykh Imran in the presence of a panel of esteemed scholars.
    The oral defense panel consisted of Associate Professor Uthman Abdussalam (Chairman & Ag. HOD, Department of Languages), Professor Moshood Muhammad Jimba (External Examiner), Dr. Abdulgany I.S. Owoyale (Internal Examiner), Professor Qaasim Badmaasi (First Supervisor), Professor Abdur-Rahman Ahmad Al-Imam (Co-Supervisor), and Dr. M.J. Dosunmu (Departmental Postgraduate Coordinator).
    Prof. Jimba expressed his admiration for Shaykh Imran’s work, saying, “I have examined well over 20 theses in various universities across the northern and southern parts of this country. This is the best of them all.” He added, “He wasn’t among the first 100 best students in his class,” highlighting the remarkable nature of Shaykh Imran’s achievement.
    Associate Professor Uthman Abdussalam, on behalf of Al-Hikmah University, extended heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Imran AbdulMajeed Eleha, saying, “We are proud of his achievement and pray that Allah continues to bless him with success.”
    Shaykh Imran AbdulMajeed Eleha is currently the Chief Imam of Daaru Na’im Central Mosque, Lagos. His achievement has been met with widespread acclaim, with many scholars and students congratulating him on his outstanding work.
