Senate President Godswill Akpabio has criticized the media for prioritizing bad news over positive developments.

According to Akpabio, the media thrives on negative stories, ignoring the many successes achieved by security agencies in preventing attacks.

Akpabio made these comments during a debate on a motion to address the recurring banditry attacks in Billiri Local Government Area of Gombe State.

Relief Materials: The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), and North East Development Commission have been requested to provide relief materials to displaced victims.

Joint Taskforce: The urgent establishment of a joint police and military taskforce in Billiri Local Government Area has been called for to prevent further killings.
