The decomposing body of Honorable Justice Azuka, a member of the Anambra State House of Assembly, has been discovered at the 2nd Niger Bridge.

Azuka, who represented Onitsha North Constituency 1, was kidnapped on December 24, 2024, while driving home along Ugwunabakpa Road in Onitsha.
A combined security team made the gruesome discovery early Thursday morning. According to Tochukwue Ikenga, Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, the joint security team, comprising police and AVG operatives, had been working to rescue Azuka, but unfortunately, found his lifeless body instead.
In a shocking twist, the police have confirmed that the culprits responsible for Azuka’s kidnapping and murder have been arrested. The suspects, who were apprehended on Wednesday night, led the authorities to the location where they had dumped the lawmaker’s body.
Azuka’s death has sent shockwaves throughout the community, with many expressing sadness and outrage over the senseless killing. The lawmaker had recently regained his mandate after a court ruling removed the previous winner, and his kidnapping and murder have raised concerns about the safety and security of public officials in the region.
