    Gov Umar Namadi loses mother

    Jigawa — With deep sorrow and submission to the will of Allah, Governor Mallam Umar Namadi of Jigawa State has announced the passing of his dear mother, Hajiya Maryam Namadi Umar. She departed this world in the early hours of Wednesday, December 25th, 2024.

    The burial rites are scheduled to take place today at 4:30 PM in her hometown of Kafin Hausa, in accordance with Islamic traditions. Governor Namadi and his family have requested prayers for the repose of her soul.

    “From Allah we came, and unto Him is our return,” the Governor stated in his announcement. He also expressed his wish for Allah, in His infinite mercy, to grant her eternal rest in Jannah and to provide comfort to the family during this difficult time.

    Hamisu Mohammed Gumel, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Jigawa State, conveyed the family’s gratitude for the support and prayers from the community.

    The entire state mourns with Governor Namadi and his family, offering their condolences and support as they navigate this period of loss.
