In a gesture of kindness and compassion, the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has shared a total sum of N1.85 billion to elderly persons and military veterans across the country.

The First Lady urged the elderly to prioritize their health and spend quality time with their loved ones. She made this plea at the 2nd edition of the Renewed Hope Initiative Elderly Support Scheme (RHIESS), which held simultaneously in all 36 states of the federation, including the Federal Capital Territory.

A total of 250 elderly citizens, aged 65 and above, in each state, including veterans from the Defence and Police Officers’ Wives Association (DEPOWA), benefited from the scheme. Each beneficiary received N200,000.
