A former National Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Salihu Moh. Lukman, has written an open letter to former President Olusegun Obasanjo, urging him to rally other former leaders to form a new political party.

Lukman believes that the new party would provide a viable alternative to the ruling APC and challenge President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general election.

“Everything must be done to put Nigeria on the roadmap of producing Godly leaders,” Lukman said.

He argued that the current political landscape is characterized by “Satanic leadership” and that it is the moral obligation of former leaders like Obasanjo, Yakubu Gowon, Ibrahim Babangida, Goodluck Jonathan, and Muhammadu Buhari to unite the opposition and form a functional political party.

Lukman warned that the failure to unite the opposition would lead to the continuation of “Satanic leadership” in Nigeria. “Any political leader who refuses to work with other opposition leaders is inadvertently working for the electoral victory of APC and President Tinubu in 2027,” he said.

Obasanjo had earlier stated that “a leader made by Satan is bound to fail, while God’s chosen one will thrive.” Lukman is urging him to take the lead in forming a new party that would produce “Godly leaders” for Nigeria.
