    DAVIDO pays homage to Oluwo of Iwo, joins Uncle, Gov Adeleke for project launch

    In a display of cultural reverence and family bonding, international music sensation Davido paid a visit to the palace of the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi, in Osun State.

    The singer, who was accompanied by his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, was received warmly by the monarch and his chiefs. Davido, known for his humility and respect for tradition, prostrated before the Oluwo, greeting him with the traditional Yoruba salute.

    The visit was part of Davido’s participation in the launch of Governor Adeleke’s project in the state.

    The singer took to social media to share photos of his visit, captioning one of the posts “Work day with my uncle.”

    During the visit, Davido and Governor Adeleke held discussions with the Oluwo on ways to promote cultural heritage and economic development in the state.

    The singer also used the opportunity to thank the monarch for his support and blessings.
    The Oluwo of Iwo, in his remarks, praised Davido for his humility and commitment to his roots.

    He also commended Governor Adeleke for his efforts in developing the state and promoting its cultural heritage.
    The visit was a testament to the strong bond between Davido and his uncle, as well as the singer’s deep respect for traditional institutions and cultural heritage.
