Presidential Adviser on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, has expressed President Bola Tinubu’s confidence in retaining power in 2027, despite the recent loss of the ruling party in Ghana’s presidential election.

Bwala made this assertion during a visit to the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja on Wednesday.

He emphasized that the circumstances surrounding the Ghanaian election are distinct from Nigeria’s, citing divergent government policies and economic redirection efforts by the Tinubu administration.

According to Bwala, President Tinubu remains focused on governance and delivering on his mandate, rather than being distracted by political discussions ahead of the 2027 elections.

He highlighted the administration’s efforts to address everyday problems faced by Nigerians, such as hunger and agricultural development.

Bwala also noted that President Tinubu is constitutionally qualified to contest for a second term in office and expressed hope that he will run again in 2027, provided he enjoys good health.

It’s worth noting that Bwala, a former spokesperson for the Atiku Campaign, was recently appointed as President Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Media.

His comments come amidst speculation about the potential impact of the Ghanaian election outcome on President Tinubu’s re-election chances.
