Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has announced plans to revive the long-abandoned Edo State Transport Company, Edo Line.

The governor made this declaration during an inspection of the company’s facilities, which have been in a state of disrepair for years.

Okpebholo, accompanied by his deputy, Dennis Idahosa, was taken on a guided tour of the premises by Jaffar Inegbedion, Fleet Manager of Move Monkey.

The governor expressed his commitment to reviving the company, stating that he was determined to get firsthand information to facilitate the company’s revival for profitability.

The governor noted that the company’s facilities were in a deplorable state, with overgrown vegetation and a significantly reduced fleet of vehicles.

He expressed surprise that the company, which once had over 200 vehicles, now had only a few vehicles remaining. Okpebholo vowed to locate the missing vehicles and restore the company to its former glory.

The revival of Edo Line is expected to boost public transportation in the state, creating jobs and increasing revenue for the state government.
