Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has commended the federal government for approving the construction of Nigeria Customs facilities in the state.

This development is expected to solidify Ogun’s position as the country’s industrial hub, thanks to the state government’s focus on providing necessary infrastructure.

Speaking at the 38th Akesan Day celebration in Iperu, Governor Abiodun revealed that the Special Agro-Processing Zone at the Gateway International Agro-cargo Airport will be completed by the third quarter of 2025. The airport, equipped with cutting-edge technology, is poised to become one of the world’s best.

Abiodun emphasized his administration’s commitment to people-oriented projects, ensuring accessibility and investment opportunities. “We will work tirelessly until the end of our tenure in 2027,” he assured.
National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, praised Governor Abiodun’s dedication to infrastructure development.

“His legacy will be defined by the well-constructed road networks and concrete drainages,” Ganduje noted.
Senate Leader Senator Opeyemi Bamidele echoed Ganduje’s sentiments, highlighting Abiodun’s efforts to transform Ogun into a modern commercial hub.

The occasion drew approximately 50 senators, representatives, traditional rulers, and prominent politicians.
The Gateway International Agro-cargo Airport and Special Agro-Processing Zone are key components of Ogun’s industrial revolution strategy. With federal support, the state is poised for unprecedented growth and development.
