Governor Caleb Mutfwang and REA Managing Director Abba Aliyu are committed to working together to overcome the challenges of low electricity access in the state.
The REA has expressed confidence in Plateau State’s potential to attract renewable energy investments, with a company already showing interest in investing $150 million in Nigeria’s renewable energy sector. This investment is expected to have a positive impact on the state’s economy and energy landscape.
Governor Mutfwang has reassured prospective investors of a conducive business environment, pledging to address bureaucratic bottlenecks and security concerns. His administration is committed to providing necessary approvals, including land allocation and community engagement, to facilitate smooth operations.
The ultimate goal is to position Plateau State as Nigeria’s industrial hub for renewable energy within the next two years. With the REA’s support, the state is set to become a shining example of sustainable energy solutions in Nigeria.
