Okpebholo makes good on campaign promise, flags off Edo’s first flyover —Philip Shaibu

The immediate past Deputy Governor of Edo State, Hon. Philip Shaibu, has praised Governor Monday Okpebholo for flagging off the construction of a flyover bridge at Ramat Park in Benin City, just days into his inauguration.

Shaibu described Okpebholo as a “talk and do” Governor, commending his people-centered policies and decisions since taking office on November 12.
The flyover bridge is expected to ease traffic congestion and boost economic growth in the area. Okpebholo has also announced plans to construct two more flyover bridges at Dawson Road Junction and Sapele Road/Adesuwa Road Junction in Benin City.

Okpebholo flags off first flyover in Edo to decongest traffic

Shaibu on his X account Wednesday, wrote: “Huge congratulations to our “talk and do” Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, on performing the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a flyover bridge at Ramat Park in Benin City, just days into his inauguration. This is a testament to His Excellency’s pledge and commitment to hitting the ground running and turning Edo State into a massive construction site, just as he rightly promised during the campaigns.
“Your Excellency, your people-centered policies and decisions since your assumption of office on November 12 have been truly inspiring. You are walking the talk and making Edo State proud. The flyover bridge will not only ease traffic congestion but also boost economic growth and development in the area.
“To the good people of Edo State, rejoice! Our Governor is working tirelessly to make our lives better. Let’s continue to support him on this journey to greatness.
