The Management of Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Keffi has given a two-week ultimatum to relatives of 21 unclaimed corpses in its morgue to claim them or the copses will be disposed.

This is contained in a statement signed by  Miss Esther Bature, Head of Public Relations/Protocol and made available to newsmen in Keffi local government area of Nasarawa state on Tuesday.

According to Bature, the decision by the management of the centre to issue the deadline was because some of the copses have exceeded the six months permitted by law to remain in the morgue.

“They now constitute a potential health hazard for the hospital and its immediate environs,” the statement said.
