    Abuja, P-Harcourt airports receive prestigious ACI Africa awards

    THE Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, and the Port Harcourt International Airport have been recognized by the Airport Council International (ACI Africa) for their outstanding commitment to airport emergency management and resilience.

    These two major airports received prestigious awards at the 33rd Annual General Assembly of ACI Africa in Johannesburg, South Africa. The awards were presented by ACI Africa’s Secretary-General, Ali Tounsi, and President, Emmanuel Chaves.

    This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved, particularly the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo, SAN. It showcases Nigeria’s commitment to providing secure and efficient travel experiences.

    As two of Nigeria’s major international airports, Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport and Port Harcourt International Airport play a crucial role in the country’s aviation sector. They join the ranks of other award-winning airports globally, such as Rome Fiumicino Airport, Toulon-Hyères Airport, and Hermes Airports, recognized for their excellence in digital transformation, eco-innovation, and HR excellence ².

    This recognition is a significant boost to Nigeria’s aviation industry, highlighting its efforts to prioritize safety, security, and customer experience. With this achievement, Nigeria’s airports are poised to become a hub for regional and international travel.
