Alhaji Aliko Dangote, CEO of Dangote Group, has donated N2 billion to aid those affected by the recent flood in Maiduguri, Borno State.

The donation consists of N1 billion from the Presidential Committee on Flood and Disaster, which Dangote chairs, and an additional N1 billion from the Dangote Foundation.

During a sympathy visit to Governor Babagana Umara Zulum, Dangote announced the donation and called on other corporate Nigerians to support the Borno State Government in addressing the flood’s destruction. He described the disaster as “mind-boggling” and “disastrous,” emphasizing the need for collective efforts to alleviate the suffering of those affected.

Governor Zulum expressed gratitude to Dangote for his support and prayed for God to grant him and other donors long life and prosperity. Dangote was accompanied by Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule.
