ARREST OF AJAERO: Air Peace sets record straight, says petition against NLC president withdrawn

    Published on

Air Peace has issued a clarifying statement regarding the reported arrest of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) President, Joe Ajaero, due to a petition filed by the airline.

The statement reveals that the petition, submitted in September 2023, has since been withdrawn, and the airline and NLC have resolved their differences and enjoy a cordial relationship.

According to Air Peace Spokesperson, Omotade Makinwa, the petition was filed in response to a dispute that led to the disruption of Air Peace operations on May 3, 2023, resulting in significant financial losses.

However, the airline’s legal team has since withdrawn the petition, and the two organizations have made amends.

The statement emphasizes that the recent police action, leading to Ajaero’s alleged arrest, was based on the original petition, which is no longer valid.

Air Peace expresses concern over the negative publicity and reiterates its commitment to maintaining a positive working relationship with the NLC.
