The Lagos State Police Command has arrested two suspected traffic robbers, identified as Idowu Lukuman and Sadiq Ahmed, in the Alagbado area of the state.

The arrest was made after a distress call was received by the police, reporting a theft incident at Kola Bus Stop.

According to the police, the suspects had posed as a tricycle rider and passenger to deceive and rob unsuspecting commuters. They allegedly stole an Itel phone worth ₦70,000 from a victim, who immediately alerted the authorities.

The Lagos Police patrol unit responded swiftly to the distress call at 5:29 pm on September 6th, 2024, and intercepted the duo, who were riding a tricycle with the registration number KJA 637 QM.
