In a separate operation, NDLEA operatives destroyed over 100,000 kilograms of cannabis spread across 51 hectares of farm land in the Ise-Ekiti forest reserve, Ekiti state.

The Agency also made significant arrests and seizures across the country, including 305kg cannabis concealed in a J5 boxer bus intercepted along Toro-Jos road, Kaduna, and 18kg cannabis seized in Makarfi town, Kaduna.

NDLEA’s War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) sensitization activities continued across the country, reaching out to schools, worship centers, workplaces, and communities.

Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of NDLEA, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd), commended the officers and men of NDLEA for their operational successes, urging them to intensify efforts to reduce drug supply and demand.

He noted that their operational successes and those of their compatriots across the country are well appreciated even as he urged them not to rest on their oars but continue to intensify ongoing drug supply reduction and drug demand reduction efforts.
