FORMER President of the Senate, Senator Ahmad Lawan, APC, Yobe North has again come to the rescue of flood victims by donating the sum of N30m to three local government areas in his Senatorial District of Yobe North.

Senator Lawan’s N30 million donation brings the total amount donated recently to flood victims in his Senatorial District to N55 million.

In a statement yesterday by his Media Adviser, Ezrel Tabiowo, the former President of the Senate, barely two weeks ago, donated the sum of N20m to flood victims in Nguru local government area; and N5m to those displaced in Karasuwa local government area.

According to the statement, speaking when he visited Yusufari local government area on Sunday, to assess the damage caused by recent flooding, Senator Lawan said that the funds donated are for the purchase of essential items such as food, clothing, shelter, and medical supplies for affected victims.
