Top Nigerian leaders, including Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Saad Abubakar, and the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, are set to inaugurate Minaret University Ikirun.
The ceremony, scheduled for February 5th, will also mark the investiture of the university’s pioneer Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abdul Rahman Abdullah.
The faith-based institution, owned by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, was granted a licence by the Nigerian government last year. Minaret University Ikirun is launching its first publication, “The Super Powers – Geopolitics of World War and The Pathway To Peace,” written by Hafiz Yunus Omotayo, a Missionary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat of Nigeria and Journalist.
The event will take place at 10:00 am at the university’s temporary site along Ikirun-Offa Expressway, Ikirun, Osun State. Proceedings can be followed live on social media platforms, including Facebook and LinkedIn, or via the university’s website, www.minaretuniversity.edu.ng.
