As the Rivers political crisis deepens with the proclamation of the Rainbow coalition of the Renewed Hope structure by FCT Minister Chief Nyesom Wike, indications emerge that Gov. Sim Fubara is making alternate moves to defect to the Action Democratic Congress.

This development follows the APC National Committee’s declination to hand over the Rivers APC party structure to Gov. Sim Fubara upon his defection to the APC.

According to reports, Gov. Sim Fubara had requested the APC National Chairman to dissolve the current APC Executives in the State to gain total control of the APC party structure, but the request was declined.
The APC National Chairman instead asked him to work with the existing structure of the party in Rivers State.

Consequently, Gov. Sim Fubara approached the APC Governors Forum with the same request, but it appears to be yielding no results.
Reports disclose that Gov. Sim is already in talks with the Leader of ADC in Rivers State, the former Minister of Transportation, to secure the ADC Governorship ticket.
