Former Governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos state, Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, also known as Jandor, has called on Muslims to embrace unity and brotherhood across different prayer groups and societies, stressing that Islam enjoins togetherness as a divine command.

Speaking through his representative, Alhaji Abdul Hakeem, at the Al-Muwaffiq Islamic Prayer Society (Prayer Warriors) in Olorunshogo, Mushin, Jandor pledged his continued support for the completion of the society’s mosque.

“Allah commands unity among the faithful. We must rise above divisions and work together as one family in Islam,” he said.

The event was marked by several highlights, including the conferment of awards and Islamic titles on no fewer than 15 distinguished members of the society. A new prayer book was also launched, with Hon. Adeniran serving as the chief launcher.

In a show of compassion and community service, the gathering witnessed the distribution of cash gifts and food packs to over 100 needy members. The empowerment initiative was sponsored by D-Sunnah, under the leadership of Alhaji Idris Kamaldeem, in partnership with the Al-Muwaffiq Islamic Prayer Society.

Sheikh Hammed Olawale Tirimisiy, Director of the Prayer Warrior, emphasized that the empowerment programme was not a one-off gesture but part of a sustained effort over the past two years.

The event, which blended spirituality with social responsibility, was described by attendees as a testament to the society’s commitment to uplifting lives while fostering unity among Muslims.
