A non-governmental organisation, NGO, the Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria, MMWG, has congratulated Mr. Babajide Kolade-Otitoju, a.k.a BKO on his new appointment as the new Director of News of TVC Communication Ltd.
MMWG, in a statement signed by its National Coordinator, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi, described the appointment as a well-deserved elevation of the media guru “considering his academic and professional background coupled with his wide experience over some decades in the field of journalism and mass communication.”
It noted that most people believe that qualifications and experience are enough criteria in appointing people into positions of authority, but added that in the present clime incorruptible, honesty, fearlessness, and high integrity are essential virtues occupiers of high offices must possess.
According to the group, “Kolade-Otitoju combined all these virtues, which made his appointment to be highly exceptional.
It, however, urged him to sustain the values and virtues with which he is well-known so as to be able to succeed in office greatly than his predecessors.
TVC Communications had last week announced the appointment of the veteran journalist with decades of experience in Nigerian media as its new Director of News
The station said the move is expected to strengthen the channel’s editorial direction and reinforce its commitment to credible, timely, and impactful journalism.
