Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has thrown his weight behind the African Democratic Congress (ADC), declaring it the only viable alternative for Nigerians seeking relief from the current economic hardship and insecurity under the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration.
“ADC is the only option you have to get liberated from the current predicament. The party will return Nigeria to its days of glory, free from insecurity and hardship,” Atiku stated while commissioning the ADC Secretariat in Jalingo.
Atiku emphasized that the ADC is poised to secure a decisive victory in the 2027 general elections, urging all Nigerians to join forces to rescue the nation from its current challenges. He also called on eligible voters, particularly in Taraba, to register and obtain their voters’ cards, stressing that any effort to change the government would be futile without citizens exercising their right to vote.
The former VP criticized the APC administration, stating that they have done little to improve Nigerians’ welfare. He expressed confidence in the ADC’s leadership, saying they are capable and would deliver better governance when given the mandate.
The event marked the official opening of the ADC state secretariat and the inauguration of the state transition committee, with Senator Abubakar Tutare as Chairman and Barrister Haruna Kwetishe as Secretary. Taraba State ADC Chairman Hassan Adamu pledged that the party would provide an alternative for residents in 2027, stating they would win the state and deliver desired development.
