    Gunmen abduct travellers in Ekiti, demand N50m ransom

    Ado-Ekiti—Gunmen have reportedly kidnapped several people, including Mrs. Saka Deborah, daughter of a battery charger from Ijero Ekiti, along the Itapaji-Iyemero road.

    According to insiders from the two communities, the abduction took place last Monday, and the captors have been demanding a ransom of 50 million naira from the victims’ families.

    The victims have been held hostage since then, with their families struggling to meet the hefty ransom demand.

    ‎When contacted, the Commissioner of Police in Ekiti State, CP Joseph Eribo confirmed the incident and said the anti kidnapping squad were working on rescuing the victims.
