Saudi Volunteer program brings sight to hundreds in Ibadan, Nigeria

    Published on

Ibadan, Nigeria – A humanitarian initiative by the Saudi Noor Volunteer Program, implemented by AlBasar International Foundation, has successfully provided life-changing medical services to hundreds of individuals in Ibadan.

The program, which ran from August 1st to August 7th, 2025, offered a range of free services, including eye check-ups, refraction services, medications, cataract surgeries, and prescription glasses.

The initiative, backed by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre, aimed to combat blindness and its causes in the region. According to organizers, the program was more than just medical care – it was a gift of sight, dignity, and hope to those in need.

The medical team and volunteers worked tirelessly to provide these essential services, touching hundreds of lives in the process. The success of the program was made possible through the collaboration of international partners, who joined forces with AlBasar International Foundation to make this mission a reality.

The impact of this initiative is expected to be felt for years to come, as those who received treatment and surgeries are given a second chance at sight and a renewed sense of hope for their future.
