South West Chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and prominent Ibadan indigene, Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, has expressed confidence that Oba Rashidi Ladoja’s reign as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland will usher in significant development and progress for the region.

The Ibadanland kingmakers on Monday, nominated Oba Ladoja during a meeting at the new Olubadan palace, Oke Aremo.

In a statement released yesterday, Ajadi congratulated Ladoja, stating, “I congratulate Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja on his appointment by the Olubadan-in-Council as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland. I wish him a peaceful reign.”

He emphasised the importance of Ladoja’s leadership for the community, saying, “I am confident that Ladoja’s reign will bring more development and progress to Ibadanland. His experience and dedication will be vital in steering our community forward.”

Ajadi also praised the Olubadan-in-Council for their efficient and mature handling of the selection process, remarking, “History will remember them for good.”

“I rejoice with all indigenes and residents of Ibadanland as we pray that God Almighty will grant the new Olubadan many years in good health on the throne,” he concluded.
